Moving from Pocket to FeedNest

Mozilla closed Pocket on July 8, 2025, and deleted the remaining accounts once the export window ended later that year. FeedNest covers what you used Pocket for, saving articles to read later in a clean view, and adds what Pocket never did: the sites you kept saving from can send you their new articles on their own.

Step by step

  1. Find your Pocket export

    If you downloaded your data before Pocket closed, it is a CSV file listing every link you saved, with its title, its tags, and the date you added it. Sort it by address to see which sites you saved from most.

  2. Create a free account

    Sign up with your email or with Google, Apple, or X. The free plan needs no payment details.

  3. Follow the sites you saved from

    Open Add, then Websites, and type a site's name or paste its address. FeedNest finds the site's feed, and from then on its new articles arrive in your newsfeed without saving each one.

  4. Save what you still want to read

    In Saved, choose Add Link and paste an address. The article opens as clean, full text, and you can tag it and come back to it whenever you like.

  5. Let Ned fill the gaps

    Describe what you like to read and Magic Feed puts together a set of sources for you. The free plan includes one Magic Feed a month.

Before you switch

  • FeedNest does not import Pocket's export file in one go yet: links go in one at a time with Add Link. Following the sites you saved from gets most of your reading back faster.
  • Highlights, notes, and listening to articles are part of Plus, from $5.99 a month.

Is FeedNest free?

Yes. The free plan follows up to 150 RSS feeds with full article text, and saving and tagging links is free too. Plus, at $5.99 a month, adds highlights, notes, listening, translation, and more kinds of sources.

Can I listen to articles, like in Pocket?

Yes, on Plus and Pro. Any article can be read aloud, and a queue keeps the next ones lined up for your commute.

Can I take my data with me if I leave FeedNest?

Yes. In Settings, under Account, OPML Export downloads every feed and folder you follow as a file that any RSS reader can import.
